Itinerary
We hope you can join us for several days of activities and excursions on the Adriatic coast! These are completely optional; feel free to make your own plans on any of these days. There is plenty to do and see, and we encourage you to explore and be adventurous!
Monday 5/21: Swimming, Snorkeling, and the Blue Cave
For the early birds arriving before Monday, we invite you to join us for boat tour around the islands! We'll swim and snorkel around secluded coves, stopping for lunch in a picturesque fishing village. The highlight of the tour will be Modra Spilja (The Blue Cave), a sea cave accessible only by boat. There, geological formations cause the cave to be bathed in a vivid aquamarine light for a few hours each day. The effect is ethereal.
Departure: 9AM, Hvar Town.
Duration: All day.
Cost: €70/$85 per person
Tuesday 5/22: Klis and Krka.
Tuesday features a bus tour that begins at Klis Fortress (Tvrđava Klis). Perched on a rocky promontory over the outskirts of Split, this was the seat of many Croatian kings. Its location overlooking the crossroads of Dalmatia has meant it has played a pivotal role in the history of the region.
The second half of the tour will be at Krka National Park. Dramatic mountains, a crumbling stone fortress, half a mile of waterfalls--it's an amazingly beautiful spot.
Departure: 6:30AM, Hvar Town
Duration: 8 hours.
Cost: €50/$60 per person
Wednesday 5/23: Dubrovnik
This place is ridiculous. We won't be mad if you go on this excursion and just stay an extra night. Seriously, think about it.
Departure: 6:00 AM, Hvar Town
Duration: All Day
Cost: €75/$90
Thursday 5/24: Hvar Fortress Hike, Boat Tour, and Sunset Welcome Reception
Today we'll take it a bit easier with a stroll up to Hvar Fortress, which features panoramic views of the town. We'll follow this up with a low-key boat tour of the island, giving you time to take a dip or get some sun.
In the evening, we invite everyone to join us at Hvar's Monastery of St. Mark for a welcome reception.
Time: TBD
Cost (Boat tour): TBD
Friday 5/25: Free Day
On Friday, the wedding party will be preparing for Saturday's festivities on Vis.
If there is interest, we'll have a re-run of Monday's Blue Cave tour for those who weren't able to make it the first time around.
Saturday 5/26: Wedding
A boat will depart from the Hvar ferry dock at 2:30 PM sharp! There will not be a second boat.
Reception to follow.
Sunday 5/27: Brunch and Farewell
For those still around, we will be hosting a brunch in Hvar Town at 11:00 AM. All are welcome!
